How do I use the UPMC Shift Select Mobile App?
To use the UPMC Shift Select Mobile App, you first must set up an account. Once you have an account, open the app and sign in. If you are using an iPhone, tap on “My Shifts” in the top left corner of the screen. If you are using an Android device, tap on “Shifts” in the top right corner of the screen. On this page, you will see a list of all of your open shifts. Tap on a shift to view more detailed information about that shift, including work schedule and any pending changes or cancellations. When you are finished viewing details for a shift, simply swipe to the left to dismiss it from your screen. You can also edit or cancel a shift by tapping on it and then editing or canceling it as needed. What is UPMC Shift Select?
UPMC Shift Select is a voluntary program that allows you to change your working hours during the week. You can choose to work any number of hours from 7am-7pm, or 8am-4am. You can also choose to work an extra hour each night for a total of 24 hours per week. You can change your shift selection at any time during your eligibility period.
How does UPMC Shift Select work?
When you join UPMC Shift Select, you are assigned a buddy account. This account is linked to your employee identification number (EIN). When you wish to make a change in your working hours, you will need to contact your buddy account administrator and provide them with your desired working hours and EIN. Your buddy administrator will then update your record with the new hours and EIN.
Can I reschedule my shifts if I am unavailable on certain days or nights?
Yes, as long as you give 30 days notice to your buddy account administrator before making the change in hours. If you are unable to make a requested shift due to an emergency situation, please inform your friendly PA scheduler at least 48-hours in advance so that alternate coverage can be arranged for you. Please note: If you have leave scheduled during the time frame of your requested shift, and cannot reschedule it for medical reasons,,you may need to take leave without pay .
